Bitter and Twisted are a folk combo comprised of long-time songster Liz Rosenfield-Boyle and her accompanist Dave Giles, with contributions from traditional folk song protagonist Sean Boyle and musical support from Eddie Ogle, when the fancy takes! Their eclectic musical influences range from contemporary Folk, Blues, to the more traditional, all entwined by decorous vocal harmonies and dextrous guitar accompaniment.

Liz has trodden the boards for many years as a promoter and artist; her stature among fellow artists is well known, indeed is unmissable! Lover of a ‘girly song’, Liz has gratified many and disappointed few. David’s voice washes like the ocean over Liz’s broad vocal beach, lapping close to her but never going further than an invitation for a paddle. His tones wind round her ankles, wetting her toes as she retreats, succumbing to his melody as a lover at the nape of her neck, and they make sweet music as they splash among the musical waves.

Sean joins the combo astride his sturdy knowledge of traditional song, towing behind him the heritage of the many, who, were it not for the circumstance of their birth, would have shared in the bounty enjoyed by the few. He tills his musical ground with a steady pace, like a Suffolk Punch striding the last furlong of the day while reminiscing the inequity of class to wit he was born. Hailing from Leeds, his clipped tones bely a fierce intellect, only the foolish parry with the lyrics he imparts and only after twenty verses will he shy in search of them in written form.
